How to request help

We're here to help!

Details of how to request help from the transport service (01608 651115) or the sitting and befriending service (01608 652019) are shown on the relevant pages.

The Helping Hands Service

We also have a Helping Hands service (01608 651415) where we can provide volunteers who are willing to undertake minor odd jobs for the elderly or disabled. Such jobs might include changing a light bulb, sewing a button, helping to fill in a form, or changing batteries in a smoke alarm

Unfortunately we cannot undertake electrical or plumbing work, nor can we carry out gardening or cleaning and cooking

Our volunteers make no charge for their time, but do need to recover their transport costs (at a rate of 43 pence per mile). We always try to locate a volunteer who lives within a few miles of your home.

If you need help, call Mark on 01608 651415. we can discuss the job to decide whether we are able to carry it out.
